Emergency Calling (911) Disclosure

Effective September 8, 2026

Read this disclosure carefully.BablyBox voice service uses Internet Protocol technology. 911 and E911 service may operate differently from traditional wireline telephone service and may be limited or unavailable in some circumstances.

Registered location

Customers must provide accurate location information required for emergency calling and must keep that information current. Where BablyBox provides a Registered Location or emergency-address feature, the Customer must ensure the location associated with each applicable user, number, device, or endpoint reflects the location required for proper emergency routing.

When 911 may be limited or unavailable

Emergency calling may fail, be delayed, or route incorrectly during circumstances including loss of electrical power; Internet or network failure; equipment or software failure; service suspension or termination; incorrect configuration; use from a location different from the registered emergency location; failure to update location information; failure of an underlying carrier or emergency-services provider; or other events beyond reasonable control.

Moving or nomadic users

Because BablyBox can be used from computers, mobile devices, Microsoft Teams, desk phones, and other endpoints, a user may be able to place calls from locations other than the location originally associated with the service. Customers and users must use available location-management features and follow BablyBox instructions for maintaining accurate emergency-location information.

Tell your users

Customer administrators are responsible for informing users who may place calls through BablyBox about applicable emergency-calling limitations and for ensuring required notices or labels provided by BablyBox are distributed or displayed as instructed.

Maintain an alternative

Customers should maintain an alternative means of contacting emergency services, particularly during Internet, power, equipment, or service outages. Mobile or traditional telephone service may provide an alternative where available.

Do not test 911 by placing non-emergency calls

Do not place a 911 call merely to test service. Follow BablyBox or emergency-services-provider testing procedures when a supported test mechanism is available.

Affirmative acknowledgment

Where required, an authorized Customer representative must affirmatively acknowledge receipt and understanding of this Emergency Calling Disclosure before emergency-enabled voice service is activated. BablyBox may retain the identity of the accepting person, organization, document version, date and time of acceptance, and appropriate audit information as evidence of acknowledgment.

Customer acknowledgmentBy affirmatively accepting this disclosure in the BablyBox application, the Customer acknowledges that it has read and understands the differences and limitations described above, agrees to maintain accurate emergency-location information, and agrees to inform its users of applicable limitations.

Changes to emergency calling

Emergency-calling capabilities and requirements may vary by service, location, endpoint, underlying provider, and applicable law. BablyBox may provide additional notices or instructions during provisioning or when emergency-calling configuration changes.
